Our first competition at Kettering University was a blast! Our team competed in Kettering District Event 2 and won the competition. After six busy weeks of build season and three long days of the competition, winning the event was emotional for the whole team as we felt like all the hard work being paid off.
We enjoyed our sweet victory but did not rest on our laurels. We have been busy preparing for our second competition in Howell this weekend from March 30 to April 1. We have checked the robot and fixed the problems arising at our first event. We have also made great modifications to our gear-deliver mechanism and shooter.
Innovating the robot is important, but so is improving the performance of our drive team. The drive team have come up with a more efficient strategy and have been practicing to feel more comfortable with it.
We have all been working hard to give our best performance, and I cannot wait to see how we do at the competition this weekend. The Corsairs are ready to take off.
Let’s go Corsairs!
