Team 2612 Corsair Robotics is excited to inform that we are officially qualified for 2017 Michigan State Championship! This is our second year in a row to qualify.
This year, the State Championship will take place at Saginaw Valley State University from April 12-15. There are 160 teams competing in this event. The teams will be divided into four divisions of 40 teams each. Each division will have its own playoffs and awards. The winners of those four divisions will compete in inter-divisional playoffs for the title of State Champion. Team 2612 will be competing in Ford Division, which is the fourth field of Michigan State Championship.
After competing in two district events, Team 2612 discovered some shortcomings that needed to be addressed. Using innovation, we continued to make modifications to our practice robot that we can duplicate on our competition robot. We also have a new autonomous mode and made some changes to optimize existing programs.
Thank you to all dedicated team members and mentors who spent their time working on our practice robot during school break. I believe with these changes, we will give our best performance at the competition this weekend, with hopes to continue on to the World FRC Championship in St. Louis.
The Michigan FRC Championship is always a very competitive event, so we are looking forward to seeing many good games. Team 2612 wishes all those competing this weekend the best of luck. The Corsairs are ready to take off into the sky.
Let’s go, Corsairs!
